How a journey is arranged

Five stages, around the journey

Every Valdor journey follows the same considered sequence. The itinerary changes; the way we work together does not.

i.

The conversation

We meet in person or by video. You speak, we listen. The questions are about how you travel and what would make a journey worth taking.

  • A single point of contact. One person who knows the whole trip.
  • Held in confidence. Your plans treated with the discretion of a private practice.
ii.

The plan

A clear picture of your trip, on paper, before a single hotel is chosen. You see the journey take shape early, so nothing about it surprises you later.

  • Curation over choice. Two or three considered options, shaped for you.
  • An honest sense of cost early, while it is still easy to change.
iii.

The itinerary

A single document, day by day. Hotels, transport, experiences, and the people waiting at each stop. Everything in one place, nothing you don't.

  • Benefits at the better properties. The right rooms, with upgrades, breakfast, or credit where our relationships allow.
  • One document to travel by, yours to keep.
iv.

The trip

Drivers waiting, hosts expecting you, plans already in motion. One number to call if anything shifts. Otherwise, the freedom to forget about logistics entirely.

  • Quiet attention while you travel. Plans set in motion before you arrive.
  • One number to call, answered, if anything shifts.
v.

The return

A short conversation when you are home. What worked, what surprised, what to keep for next time. Your next journey begins where this one left off.

  • Continuity between trips. Your preferences carry forward.
  • A head start. Each journey begins further along than the last.
The practical side

Where a fee applies

Working with Valdor carries no charge beyond the rate of the travel itself, except in the two situations below. Any fee is agreed in writing before anything begins, and quoted in your preferred currency.

Bookings

No separate fee

Booking hotels, cruises, tours, or transport carries no charge, whether one or several. The rate matches the supplier's own, and added benefits arrive where our relationships allow.

Designed itineraries

A planning fee

When a trip is shaped from a blank page, a planning fee applies for that design: the days, the dining, the experiences, and how it all connects. The bookings within it carry no separate charge.

Air ticketing

A ticketing fee

Flights carry a ticketing fee, rising with the complexity of the routing. The figure is always confirmed before any booking is made.

The figures are shared in your first conversation, so nothing about the cost of arranging your journey is ever a surprise. If anything here invites a question, write back.

Begin a conversation

An introduction is the first step

Valdor takes on a small number of new clients each season. The first conversation is short, by phone or video, and without obligation.

Conversations and correspondence are held in confidence.
